Massive chunk of white milky quartz with natural gold stringers throughout.

Total weight is 489.90 grams or just under 16 troy ounces. From the unusual density we estimate approx. 20-30 grams of gold in this piece. It’s hard to see from pictures but in person you can see the gold reaching deep inside the heart of this neat Aussie specimen.

Found recently in Australia this grand specimen has gold showing on two sides with the rest of its treasure still locked inside.

You may wish to leave this specimen intact or perhaps try to remove some of the host rock to reveal more of the gold inside. Common methods used by professionals for revealing gold in quartz are acid etching or mechanical water pick. It is very delicate work so we recommend leaving a nice specimen like this intact unless you know what you are doing. It’s a very nice piece to add to any natural gold collection.

This piece is extremely dense so there could be more gold inside than we anticipate.
